    Parker Hale thread size?

Anyone know what the thread size is on PH aperture eyepieces? For example, the thread on a 6-hole aperture fitting into a PH5E.

    Cheers.

It is a special. I have got a note here that says 7/32" x 40 ME [Model Engineering] is close enough to be usable - but I have not tried it yet.

It seems to me that there are actually two different threads, even on different eyepieces of the same apparent model. I've got at least half a dozen that will not fit any of the standard PH/AJP sights. I wonder if PH latterly tried to adapt their eyepiece range to fit Anschutz-type sights?

In preparing a sight for sale, I frequently have to do some selective assembly of eyepieces to get one which fits best. I think it's just sloppy tolerances.

Thanks for the input. I was hoping to put a 6-hole aperture on the rear sight of an L1A1, 'cos the old Mk.1 eyeballs aren't too accurate with the battle sight's large aperture.

Looks like I'm out of luck, unless I can get it fixed some other way.

    Cheers.

You probably want the Hythe sight with its double aperture.
