    Hello

Just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. I live in Central North Carolina and have been a firearms collector for many years. I like collecting all types of firearms but mostly military shotguns, sniper rifles, HKs, military fighting knifes, and Third Reich items. I found this site via Badger who helped me post some pics of a Enfield (T) sniper and accessories that I had purchased from an estate. Loking forward to being a part of this forum. Thanks Rod in NC

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Welcome aircav73 Though our laws differ quite a lot from american laws regarding firearms, I believe you'll love this forum as much as we do.

Good guys helping each other and sharing knowledge and pride. I think that summs up the forum.

Just stumpled onto this site from looking at a K98K on CGN.

Have a Oberndorf 1899 6.5 and did a search and 40 numbers off the one listed here so nice to have a reference to check into. Will PM the owner shortly.

Other Mauser in the collection is a Israeli .308 conversion that is a joy to shoot.

Happy to have found the site.

New member. I don't see myself as a collector per se, I buy what I like. Because of the history attached to them much of what I've bought has been milsurp. I also appreciate the construction of the old rifles. Imagine what a FN 49 would cost if Winchester made it! I reload, modern and obsolete. Hobby gunsmith, building centerfire rifles, stock work, checkering for 20 or so years. Looking for others with experience I don't have. Thanks.
