I have an unwrapped in the grease "irish" No4. I bought it for it's history. The same reason I bought a Chrysler Crossfire Srt6 Roadster. I love machines. gary

A lot of materials degenerate nevertheless...
Just to elaborate on the wrapped or unwrapped point, I look on it as I would a car in my garage. On one side is a brand new, unused Mini Cooper S I got for my birthday in 1969.
Peter, your 1969 Mini will by now need a complete overhaul, even if you have never driven it. Everything rubbery will have deteriorated or perished. Plastic materials will also have deteriorated, maybe cracked. The insulation on electric components and cabling will be dodgy to useless. Don't even look at the battery - I imagine you removed that, at least. Oils and greases will have turned resinous and solidified, so don't try to start the engine! And unless you have a controlled environment in your garage, the bodywork is likely to have rust in hidden places, resulting from condensation as a result of temperature changes.
So - you should have kept in in the wrap - or driven it, at least a bit, and had the fun.

Don't worry Patrick, I've taken care of all that. Maybe a car isn't the best comparison but there will be something out there worthy of comparing to a still new-in-wrap No4.......... But you know what I mean
