A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. A lot of materials degenerate nevertheless...

Peter, your 1969 Mini will by now need a complete overhaul, even if you have never driven it. Everything rubbery will have deteriorated or perished. Plastic materials will also have deteriorated, maybe cracked. The insulation on electric components and cabling will be dodgy to useless. Don't even look at the battery - I imagine you removed that, at least. Oils and greases will have turned resinous and solidified, so don't try to start the engine! And unless you have a controlled environment in your garage, the bodywork is likely to have rust in hidden places, resulting from condensation as a result of temperature changes.

So - you should have kept in in the wrap - or driven it, at least a bit, and had the fun.

    Patrick

Don't worry Patrick, I've taken care of all that. Maybe a car isn't the best comparison but there will be something out there worthy of comparing to a still new-in-wrap No4.......... But you know what I mean
