I just don't know about that one. It looks like it has been "aged" so to speak. There is no wear on the screw head but it almost looks like it was blasted or something. The band structure itself looks good to me though.

    Fake..

Same seller sells using 2 names on GB and this same name on Ebay.
Was selling repro push safeties as USGI, buying them bulk.
Was also selling the cast Type III hammers/repro.
I bought 2 push safeties from him on GB, both were real.
Told a friend, the 2 he bought were fake.
Lack of weight gave them away.
Some others here have bought from him and got repro.

    FWIW,

    Billy,
Your doing what I find myself sometimes doing, confusing a Type I and a Type II (which can be found) made from a Type III Bayo Band.

This one (on ebay) is clearly the one sold on GB by ABC. Close Ups reveal certain markings scars and bends that still match.
Good eye by JimF, band looks to have been tumbled and now wiped with a light coat of grease/oil making it look like a legit finish.
I feel for the buyer, bought as 'Authentic'

Charlie, that is great detective work. They are one in the same for sure. You can even line up all the little dings from it being tumbled. I think Jim nailed it one the tumbled with brass. Good eye

Charlie, I stand corrected because that was exactly what I did. Maybe I am slipping a little since my heart surgery. Just kidding, had the surgery, however it didn’t have anything to do with my ability to think.

So THAT'S how George gets positive feedbacks. I should've been able to figure that one out before now.
