I've seen collectible (original) ammunition for sale on GunBroker and other sites, but it is expensive... $4 and $5 per round...
Example..

Help me here...I thought dies and brass are available for loading. The bullet mould isn't anything special...I could see paper patching the bullets. This thread talks about it. Check post 2 for info for him.

Some of the auction sites will have old ammo for sale. Everything I have read say that it often goes click--bang and they are berdan primed and not easily reloadable.
I just checked the IMA-USA website and they say that they can ship 577-450 martini ammo from TEN-X within 7 days, $139.95 per 20 plus shipping. If you just want to pop a few rounds than that would be the way to go. For regular shooters reloading is a must. If your husband just wants to shoot a few rounds you might want to see if there is a martini shooter in your area who you could hook up with for a day at the range. There is more activity for martinis at britishmilitariaforums.yuku.com. The brass is costly and many people are making cases from brass shotgon shells in order to keep costs down.

I had loaded 11 mm Gras without dies. Used 45/70 dies to neck size only and .457 cast bullets. Might even work on the 577/450 cases. Got 19, 11 mm Gras cases by advertising on the WTB forums for $35. Might want to try the WTB for the cases. Ray

I don't use 577-450 dies for reloading my martini. I decap with a center piece from another die and prime in a single stage press. Thumb seat my paper patched bullets and neck crimp with a sizing die from a Lee 480 ruger die set if I think the bullet is going to fall out of the case before I get to the range.
