    Hi Guys,

Glad I found the site. Very interesting posts.

My own particular interest is in Lee Enfield Riflesicon. I have a No7 Mk1 and a No4 set up to look like a No4T. I am very interested in LE off-shoots in particular the smaller calibres. My next purchase is going to be a SMLE .22lr trainer. Seen a few here for between £350 - £600 depending on condition. Just saving up at the moment but have hopes for spring next year.

Look forward to many interesting discussions with you all.

    Cheers,
    George

    Hello from Kennie OB

1st and foremost I'd like to say hello to everyone and I hope you're doing great and wearing out the "range"! I'm not a great computer person so don't be surprised at anything that may show up. I have a C&R License and enjoy using it! I thought I could buy one Mosin and a M39 and that would be it -"NOT". I love'm. I also enjoy the early U.S. firearms and Britishicon Enfields.
I actually got started collecting bayonets and the history of the bayonets led me to the firearms.
My first firearms were Swissicon and Swedishicon. I just love the history and how firearms changed this world into what it is today. Most people have no idea! That's pretty much what my interest is and I hope to get into the forums with some questions about my collection.
    Best to all, Kennie.

    New beginnings with old rifles!!

New to any kind of forums for old rifles as I just recently became interested in old military rifles when I went looking for Vietnam era M-14s. Price was a bit high and I have always liked the old rifles from WW1 and WW2. I found three really nice Mosin Nagants and then remembered an old rifle way back in the closet and dug it out and it was a Winchester 1917. Very nice old piece and now I'm off to search out other classics. I did find an old 1871 Vetterli at a farm auction today, but after researching it looks like I won't be firing it any time soon. Too bad. Nice piece. Anyway, I'll probably have a bunch of "dumb" questions for the forum, so hello to everyone: Pagster

    1917 eddystone

hello everyone im new to the forum and the 1917 eddystone rifle I have an m-1 garand but recently just got my grandfathers eddystone that he used in wwII. the gun is in ok condition was made 11-18 I have a lot of the accessories like the bayonet the sling which is pretty rough. the rifle has stayed in my family since my grandfather brought it home I was wondering if anyone makes a replacement stock for the rifle I don't want a sporterized stock I would like an original stock theres nothing really wrong with the stock just that over the years my uncles or my grandfather put a high gloss clear finish on it and I would like to try to take it back to its original condition. I was also wondering can I use my greek ball ammo from my garand in the eddystone I know there 30.06 I don't know if the garands ammo is a hotter load because it has to cycle a semi rifle any information you guys have would greatly be appreciated just from reading some of the posts there seems like a lot of people that know what there talking about
