Very nice stock. I have a similar stock on my GUU-5/P that I got from an AR15.com retro forum member. 2 Position Aluminum. He powder coated the stock, and you have to real look extremely close to tell it from a vinyl acetate coated original Colt!

Here is my progress so far. I buddy of mine says he has an A1 grip for me and perhaps an A1 delta ring. Waiting for the barrel that should be here tomorrow but more than likely next week

The only spare non-delta takedown ring I've got has little divots along the leading edge. It's servicable but not pretty. (free to a good home) I reckon Bubba works on ARs as well...

Well, I have run into a snag. I have all the correct parts sans the barrel and a split lock washer for the flash hider. I pulled it all down to a stripped lower and stripped upper. I'll be spraying it with Norrell's John Norrell Arms - FAQ's Grayish-Black moly resin as soon as it arrives. The moly resin is airbrushed on then cured at 300 degrees for one hour to make an extremely durable finish that mimics Colt's early SP1 finish. I'm a little peeved about the barrel as I was told by the vendor he had it in stock and it would be shipped within that week of purchase. That was about a month ago. He assured me it would be shipped either today or tomorrow. We'll see Now to find a correct lock washer

Hmmm... Curious what vendor. It wasn't High Power Armory, was it?

Is there more than one version? (Not including the peel washers and and the beveled crush washers, that is.)

I have two genuine Colt split lock washers coming for it so now I'm shy a barrel Yeah, I know of a tall (thick) version and the thin (Colt) version. Both are about .750 to .800 in diameter and one is .120 thick and the other about .080 (+-) thick.
No, not High Power. AR15-kits.com and to be fair, Terry has been great in the past with any and all orders I've placed. I know he'll come through
