    Early rockola question

Have this what appears to be original rockola waiting for me when I get home next month, the recoil plate isn't stamped Rockola, but it may be stamps "R" , my question is, where would the R be stampedAttachment 52239 at ?

The R on the early recoil Rock-Ola plates are on the face of the plate just above the recoil screw . At least that is were they are on the 2 that I have . Nice looking receiver by the way !

    Philly,
Do you have any concerns about the rear flip sight?

Rock-Ola did make spring tub carbines but I was mistaken, this one does not appear to be a spring tub with a tab. 1668 is close to the cutoff between type 1 spring tub receivers and type 2 spring tub receivers. From your new pictures there does not appear to be the second cutout for the tab. Spring tub Rock-Olas are very collectable.
