The seller is a dealer, and I believe he doesn't know or care on this item (maybe even commission?).
Rifle is - as said - a fake. The engraving has been added to the scope, aswell as the rifle not being an original USMC sniper rifle.

Terrible fake rifle. Terrible fake scope, wrong power, wrong serial number, fake added USMC markings, silly bad.
I am pretty sure I saw an earlier listing that had much more description, which was false. The latest listing says just about nothing, probably to avoid fraud charges or consequences. I also saw pictures of the serial number and other things in an earlier listing.
