    Carl Gustav M96 6,5x55 SE

I just acquired this beauty. Anno 1901 with not a scratch, looks unfired, with all parts numbered.

Great looking rifle. Question: Is your bolt handle blued?

Bolt not blued, no. Highly polished but naked, unprotected steel, same as butplate.

Let alone it's good looks, it shoots too. Here's a 10-shot group, shot over military issue sights at 100 meters (true, I went to a higher FS blade to bring it just above POA).

Just run that through a program for a ball park figure and it listed N-160 - 44 grains with the 140 SMK COAL 3.110" 2586 fps at 43,547 lbs/inch2 from a 26.5" barrel.

So based on that the program re adjusted to a 29" Brl and a COAL of 3.040 ~2,664fps 45,105lbs/inch2

Close enough. With my 29" barrel, I get 2618 ft". My COAL is set at 3.04" (no research, just taken from the book).
