Alas even the Freddie Kruger of poats must come to an end. I do need to breath one bit of life back in with a question. Will shortened P1907 screws work on the scales? One of mine is short.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. You should have one handy you can try out.

As for myself, I didn't buy hardly any bayonets in nearly a year. In the last month I've picked up a dozen. I need to stop watching ebay for a while.

I suppose shortened patt 07 screws will work but they're dimensionally totally wrong. But if you are short of a correct one/pair, PM me.

That bayonet would be an ideal candidate for another refurbishment project for the forum. What about stripping it and scabbard, loosely assemble bayonet catch (less spring) and grip screws and let Brian at BDLicon bead blast, phosphate and paint to UKicon MoD spec. Can guarantee that it'll come back like new. It's the SMALL projects that get BIG results

What ain't you sure about Lobo? Looks right to me. The acid test is to see that it fits onto a No5/L2A3. It certainly looks well worn, used and old - in a way that's difficult for the Indian repro machine to replicate. Although never say never!
