I believe there may still be a lot of JU 52 spare parts (but not necessarily in great shape) somewhere around Crete....

When they made the battle of Britain movie they had a hard time trying to find any HE-111 in flyable condition I think they found some in Spain, the 109's were Merlin engined, Adolf " Dolfo " Galland actually flew a 109 in the movie and was their technical adviser for the air battle scenes
