I was surprised by this one. I bought it through a large gun auction where stuff was going very high. I’m not going to quit my day job or anything but I’m going to do quite alright on it. I guess it’s just obscure enough to fly under the radar. A real under appreciated gem!

As I understand it, when Sedgley made up a shop gun they would remove the serial numbers so customers would not know they were buying a low number '03. But when a customer brought in his own rifle for work the serial number was untouched. You have a very nice rifle, I would not hesitate to hunt with that rifle.

I don't suppose there are any accessible Sedgley company records floating around, is there? That would be interesting.
Neat tidbit about this being a customer supplied rifle. I imagine one had to be pretty well heeled to go in for this kind of work at the time!
