    Excellent, Gunner. Thanks! At your convenience, please let me have the full serial number when you get the carbine. I know you mentioned 8189 above, but no LEC Mk I* was ever produced without a letter suffix. For those made in 1900, I'd expect an A or B suffix or, less likely but certainly possible, a C suffix.
