Model 12 riot gun barrel sleeve help

I have a M12 riot gun barrel (dated "40") that I need to know what size adjusting sleeve to use. No receiver or extension with it so it may not be worth trying to find a adjusting sleeve yet.

From what I think I understand is it depends on the how they all would mate up...any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I thin you're right that without a receiver you can't headspace it. That's what the ring is for, tightening it up to the receiver. Makes it come tight at top dead center.

Since the M12 heat shield and adapter are on order I've decided to concentrate more on the M12 conversion and put the M12 Riot Barrel aside for now or at least until something comes along to add to it.

The original, partial, heat shield I have will be used to help fabricate the radius on the prototype heat shield "flats" (thanks to fellow member rccathy.) That should be interesting and will post any results...stay tuned.

what happened to your receiver? I saw one in your first post in the original thread?
Well, looks like you are in the middle of doing what I'm starting to read all about. Here is a set of sleeves.
    http://www.nulineguns.com/part_part_2046_3_31_42.php
I don't know where to get the "3 sets of reamers" for fitting the chamber ring. My idea of having swappable front ends with my 97 and 12 projects may come down to pure luck on the final fit being "good nuff". my plan is to get them running with their originals while I learn, then work on my trench gun fronts.

I'm happy to let you know what size sleeve(s) I got, and swapping with you just to check for the fit. This way would at least maybe be cheaper finding the starting point and we'd only be out the postage back and forth.
However, I read a thread on either trapshooter or shotgunworld claiming the manufacturing variances were such that the numbers on originals might not mean anything definitive.

    I'm looking for it again...
    not it but relevant https://www.shotgunworld.com/threads...cement.129927/
still not it, but some measurements for the sleeves should you fit one that's off, you can estimate the next one.

I can't find it, and can't remember what my google-fu was that produced it.

I appreciate the help but after looking around on the net here and there and everywhere I'm going hold off and to try to find a compete receiver if possible. Hopefully one with an extension and - Ive seen some for sale so they're out there but it'll take some luck.
If not I probably sell it.
    Thanks again,
    Dick
