I had to go out of town this morning, so pics will have to wait. I paid 1300 dollars, which I feel is fair giving the condition of the scope was fair. My other rifle is not in as nice a condition but the non matching scope on it is very nice.
FYI, the vertical reticle lines will be slightly canted as the scope is offset from the bore. If it’s way far off, there is a way to fix it.

Again, I’m looking forward to pictures!

I can check my books when I get home but I believe most Type 99 sniper rifles are based off the early series 6 Nagoya rifle, no monopod. There were no special selections…they just pulled them off the line for modification. Based on the serial numbers, some Type 99 rifles originally came with a 2.5 power scope as they ran out of 4 power scopes. These are known as “cutback” Type 99 rifles.

Thank you. I had researched the PU sniper rifles so I could make an informed buying decision if I ever came across one. Guess I need to start researching Arisakaicon sniper rifles too!
