A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Years ago, I can recall taking to some US Army Korean War veterans' about Thompson sub machine guns in Korea. They told me that only some of the US tanks still
had Thompsons early in the war. The Chinese also had them from WW2

The tank is question in the Life picture looks like a M47 Patton with the 90mm barrel. Of interest were the M1 icon

's. One with an M7 grenade launcher, and the M1C (?)above it. I question the sniper designation only because the picture doesn't clearly show the top part of the G&H rings.
