A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. wow, what a tragic waste of a 33/40...

There is a whole lot of repro stocks "marked" as original. I see a lot of dura-coat "bluing"

The L42 and No4T Long Branches are sad fake garbage.

I'm probably not going to bid on anything, but those Colt Pythons are making me drool. Wouldn't mind another Makarov either. Dang, let me go look at my bank account again, why didn't I marry a rich girl?
I have a lot more experience than expertise, still have both eyes and most of my fingers though.

Haven't seen the L42A1....what lot# is that? A lot of these rifles appear to be refinished.

There is one of the very rare Northwest Mounted Police MkI carbine's for sale, albeit with a mismatched bolt. Still highly desirable and collectible. If I was still living in Canadaicon that and the Ross trainer would be ending up in my collection.

7/10. LEE ENFIELD . MODEL: MKI CARBINE ROYAL NORTH WEST MOUNTED POLICE. CALIBER: .303 BR

Ross Rifle Company Cadet 22 Trainer .22 lr Single RARE Full Wood

    That is in Switzers Auction.

The "L42" is in Ward's Auction, Lot 73.
Ever seen a L42 built up on a .22 Long Branch 1944 receiver?

Sorry, I missed that it was in a different auction. There was some very suspect and a lot of Bubba'd rifles in the few pages I looked at but I'd love that carbine in my collection.
