Not a new guy. I've been on the CSP Jouster Board for a while and am an
active member of the M14 Firing Line and the FALFILES Boards. I'm in Texas and
been here most of my life, looks like we have a lot of folks north o the border
here. I deal with a glass company in Alberta on regular basis. Good to still have
a place to discuss our favorite rifles.

I'm a life member of the Texas State Rifle Association, Houston Gun Collectors
Association and Gun Owners of America.

Thanks for helping a great group continue Dick and Gloria's work. Dick is a true
hero in my mind.

Hello to all. I am just registering as a novice collector. Did not have a rifle in my hands since 1947, the year I left Germany; I reupped after the war in the RA and stayed on for a while in the occupation. By the time I left, no take-homes were allowed, but I had wanted a Mauser K98k for all the while since. Didn't have time to indulge until now, but just now bought one from (sigh!) Mitchell before I had done any checking on the net. I doubtless overpaid, but the weapon seems to be in good shape, although not a pure-bred original. I hope to learn a few things about the care and use of the weapon from this forum.
