I received an Italian made set from Numrich (Gun Parts Corp) in April 2019. Decent looking - should not be "mistaken" for the original military finish, etc. It was drilled for the lower band retaining pin, but no pin was installed. It was drilled for the upper band cross screw - seemed to fit perfectly. No threaded brass pin between the trigger mortice and the magazine mortice. I assembled a Winchester M1917 into it - all milsurp parts just fell into place - do not recall any shaving or adjustment required. I am still "hem and haw" regarding that threaded cross pin, whether needed or not - I have not fired that rifle yet. I have not yet attempted to set the bedding, to put up pressure at the muzzle end.

I fit a 1903 minelli stock a few months ago. the inletting was good, but the outside was very fat in the forearm and the wrist. The exterior width around the action was pretty good. The lower band screw would not go in out-of-the box. I had to re-profile the exterior.

May I ask, did you buy only the stock or also the handguard(s)?

Yes, I ended up with the stock, and then both a front and a rear handguard.
