I've got one guy that's trying to tell me it's some kind of trainer model, not worth more than $100. Supposed to have a cast receiver and unsafe to shoot out of.

OK, that's a lot different setup. Helps me rest a bit easier. I'd really rest easier as soon as I have it in my hands and not his. LOL

The deal as of now is $140. Unless he backs out on me. Part of why I want to get it done and in my hands! LOL If it's valued what some of the numbers I've heard, I don't want to screw around with it.

Holy &%#$! I'm going to have to watch that one. I would hate to be "that" guy to turn around and flip one, but that'd buy some other guns on the list in a hurry. LOL Like the Garandicon, 03A3, .... LOL

In all seriousness, the fact it's Japaneseicon, even if made in China, is what drew my attention to it. Grandpa fought in the Pacific with the 27th ID, so I have been wanting to get a collection of both American and Japanese weaponry from the era to display one of these days. This is likely going to be in that display.

So far it'll be this and a Type 38 I just bought. Still need a lot of additions to get it done and done right. And the approval of wall space from the wife. LOL
