Did 3 shots in 3 1/2" at 500yards about a week ago! Unfortunately, the fourth round missed the steel plate, so we'll never know how bad I pulled that one! As the group was centered on the plate whilst the elevation drum was set on "5", I then moved on after the miss to the next plate as "grouping" wasn't the goal- sight setting checks were.

I didn't know how tight the pattern was until it was time to paint the targets (no camera that day), so don't believe it!

    Probably a fluke anyway- i don't expect sub-MOA accuracy out of No.4 Mk.I(t)s- 1 1/2 to 2 MOA is about right.

Low magnification isn't the real problem, its the rather indifferently pointed post that makes holding the EXACT same spot difficult for me. Optically they're great scopes when they're in good shape!

Another trip's photo showing the 500yd plate showing a couple of 5.56 hits:

(So it's not an L-E, it's just for scale -16" bbl carbine)

The scope is number 26359 and appears to be a Cooke, Troughton & Sims.

The sight protector has taken a whack, no wonder they changed it for a stouter version.
