This Kar98a is a Germanicon/Polish rifle, ground smooth on receiver. No date no nothing. I see a small 7.9 stamp, that is all.

No luck with Springfield Sporters. They do have Kar98a parts but, no wood at all. Nothing from Fox in Englandicon(?) or Poland(?). Anybody ever hear back from him?

I'd e-mail him again. He got back to me very quickly and in good detail. I had several communications with him regarding the stamps, type of grooves, etc.

I did manage to get through. I did order a Kar98a handguard from him. He said it would be made this week/next week. The inventory he has looks decent. He could make nice Springfield '03 "C" stocks and find a real market. I wonder if he knows that?

OK, I did order a handguard from Poland. But I haven't seen anything since. No idea how long this takes.

I'm under the impression that they make them when ordered and don't have a stock of them.

    Handguard

I ordered the Handguard before Christmas. Haven't seen anything since. I sent off an email 2 days ago and am still waiting for his response. I think he makes the wood as the orders come in. Still waiting.
