Those "L" magazines were a PIA to load.
I don't know...I didn't mind them too much unless you had to do it on the fly. Thing is they're noisy. Box mags are better for most application...

You always go look at a gun.
The stock looks very clean.
Receiver looks like normal wear. Not pristine, not bad either.
The stock may be after market or un-issued.
A throat erosion reading is great to determine if you can shoot it or not.
A lot of those rifles were rear line issue and saw no combat. Its almost guaranteed to be decent as they re-did the poor ones in the US before sending overseas or issuing to men going over seas.
