R.A.F Pistol
Hi john,
I particularly like M1911 or A1 wearing special marking, yours is just very fine, very hard or impossible to found such gun in my country. Most of M1911 / A1 has been send to Arsenal probably during WWII and send back to Europe, most have an AA or RIA or SA.
Last one I saw few days ago was a perfect new Parkerised Colt mfg. 1943, with magazine Parkerised as well as barrel, and on the left side of the receiver AA.
Could you explain me about the VP on you RAF pistol, for as long as I know Colt started to VP on military pistols from serial #710,001 to the end of production, yours dated from 1914

Promo,
On the net there is two similar one's as mine advertised for $ 3250 and $ 4250 and they are not in half a good condition as mine or yours. Looks like you got a good deal buying yours ! see http://www.gunvaluesboard.com/colt-....-23007730.html and Hunters Trading Post
regards,
Martiens
