I got a full set of Birch out of Numrich about 1985 when they had bags of stuff still. Brand new and perfect. I just couldn't warm up to the blonde look though.
    Regards, Jim

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Calfed, those are the ones I got from the CMPicon in oct 2009. Reminded me of the Mitchell's Mausers, new wood and all brand new finished metal. I took one to a big gun show with two original finished all correct Garands cartouche and all and lastly pulling the incorrect one out to show and they all said wow that's beautiful. Needless to say that really surprised me.
A couple of weeks latter I went to the buyers house and he showed me the stock after he refinished it and it looked brand new and dark like the ones in this thread.

Great looking stocks DaveN! I'm in the neighborhood s/n wise, but not quite there....5.88 series. Love the Garandicon but wish I had a time machine to scarf up cheap ammo!!
