Just Saying Hello
Hi All,
Just joined the community and fortunate to have discovered this site. So far, I am enjoying the wealth of information that is available.
I recently discovered Military Surplus Arms and I am fascinated by the mechanical brilliance of their time and the history of how, where, when they began and ultimately their demise.
I look forward to someday contributing to this forum, in the form of questions, no doubt. LOL
I am glad to be here.

Hello everyone. My usual moniker is SimpleCountryActuary, but it's too long for this forum. My usual hangouts are the M-14 Firing Line Public Forum and Calguns.
I collect more-than-one shootable US Military firearms (and one safe-queen).
I already picked up some useful information in the brief time between signing up, lurking, and posting this message.
Best!

Hello everyone. Glad to be joining your website. Looking forward to reading new information and learning more. I would be very interested in learning how to find information about individual M-1 carbines.
Thanks,

Hi everyone,
Jon the new guy here... A big hello to Big Bill H. and Chuck L. (Big "C").
I am new to the 30 carbine collecting world, although I've had one carbine for at least 15 yrs now. Lately, people have wanted to sell carbines to me so I've picked up a few more. I am a WW2 jeep collector, preserver, historian... Love the jeep, but also like the 30 carbine a lot!!!! Nice forum here. I have much to learn about the carbine...

Hello
Like to say Hello to everyone on the forum. I live in Ontario Canada. I own to 303 Enfields which belonged to my Dad, who got them from his base in N.S. at the end of WWII. Dont know much about them, but i use one for hunting the other is gets target fired every few years. The one i use for hunting looks like the wood has been moded. But was told it came from the base that way. It is also stamped "For Factory Defence only" There is no bayonet receiver. The rear sight is adjustable and graduated for distance and slides up or down a ladder. (other gun has 2 adjustments rear sight flips). It is also tapped for a scope rail. Looking forward to chatting to all.
