Hey thanks for such a detailed report! My hats off to all the info you put in there for me. I don't have any books yet but will look Sat. in Tulsa when I go. I'll keep my eyes open but I know it will be crazy now for sure. As to the front sight, it has a N on it. I will try and get a picture up this evening, as the weekend is going to be busy with the nice weather. The only other markings on the stock are inside. I did take a picture but it could be a machine part that did it. However, it looks to be a stamp of unknown type but I will post that one also.

As always, I'm happy with what I have and always wanting to learn! We are never to old for that one I think. Just in closing, I think after reading what you posted and all the parts that are USGI in my weapon I did just fine. Sometimes we all just get lucky. Mic
