Exactly, browningautorifle, so that when the other will be here and there should be differences between the two, I will still have the doubt about which of the two is original and which is the fake
    Just joking of course ...

In the UKicon if you do find a long Garandicon bayonet or M1905 bayonet. They are often ex US Navy. It appears the US Navy did not shorten their bayonets and used them for cerimonial duties. My own 1942 long Garand "Army" bayonet was only the 4th one I had ever seen, so I bought it quick for £145.00. Two years ago the Greek Army sold off a batch of M1905 and Garand Bayonets. They were £145 trade and £175 retail. Now these fetch £200!+ If you have some of these long bayonets. Please look after them.

    Hello LesterH,
that's what I am trying to do, just getting every 16" bayonet I can find.
Unfortunatly, due to our old laws deregulating arms, I can't buy any bayonet abroad or import it.
So I must be happy with all I can find locally.

Got given as a present a Camillus M3 trench knife. Mint and made in about 1945. Same as the bayonet above but no rifle fittings. Got Eickhorn G3 bayonets, Eickhorn M2000 ( the modern M3), Ontario M7 and M3 Trench knife ( both modern). as well as an M14icon rifle bayonet. They all share the same blade design.

Could have kicked myself on Sunday, found a nice factory cut down 1942 garand bayonet. Slightly expensive at £65.00. Just had a walk around the stall to think about it. then some one else bought it!
Never mind, the collecting continues......................................... Kind regards, Lester

    Hello LesterH,
I am waiting for a M6 for M14icon rifle and for a M9 for M4 rifle which hopefully should come soon.
On friday I should go a bit far away from my town and see a collection on sale.
I am interested to a SA M1903 rifle and to a 1942 16" uncut bayo.

Yeah I hate when that happens, I've done the same thing before, put it down, then have the guy standing next to me pick it up, not even look at it good, and hand the dude the money spot on. You know, sometimes we just need a minute to think it through, but that 1 minute can see it swinging from someone else's web belt. That's the way it goes sometimes.

Hi Bizio! Is your M8A1 scabbard marked "BM. Co."?
