    Hello

I have been a member for awhile now, but never posted before. I do like to read up on the posts every once in awhile. I am from Georgia and starting to enjoy collecting millsurp rifles, I have a very humble collection now though.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Hi I'm on Calguns as cased and a lot of other forums under this forum. I collect mostly Gew 88 Kar 88 few 91 and now Mausers. I also am making a hobby of reverse engineering and reproducing hard to find few parts starting with the bolt head.

    New member Hello.

Hi all, I just registered. Not sure if you can call me a collector, but I have recently purchased two 1903's (one of which is an SA Mark 1), and two 1903A3's, and one M1icon Garand. Two of the five came from CMPicon. I do shoot the Mark 1, a few times a year when I go to the range for load development or practice before deer season, with my son, and grandson. Having said that, I am looking to put together another 1903 from parts to shoot for my enjoyment so it could be from all the different manufactures, as long as they work.

If you haven't figured it out, I am a Navy veteran, I have 6 years active, and 24 reserve service.

    Regards
    Bill

    New guy from Alaska

Howdy folks! I'm "the new guy" to this forum and just wanted to say Hi from Anchorage, Alaska! I'm new to this type of firearm and just picked up a very nice 1916 Amberg Gew 98 and I posted some pictures. I'm looking forward to visiting this site for the great information and the great people! I've been collecting all types of firearms since I was old enough to have a newspaper route to make some money. Of course I ain't rich so have had to buy, sell and trade over the last 40 years. Like many of you I sure do wish I had been able to keep them all! Anyway, Hi!

    Glad to be here

I was seeking information about an old Lee Enfield that was given to me for hunting purposes and stumbled on your site. It is a sporterized version made in 1918, all matching numbers except for the magazine. In any event, this site is a absolute gem for me. Already I have learned a great deal (unfortunately too late on one occasion ), but there was even a fix for that on here. I am not a collector of surplus weaponery, but do enjoy reading about them. I am sure I wiil enjoy my time here. I am more of a reader then questioner,so I don't expect to start many posts, but will contribute to any discussions I feel comfortable with. Until that time then

    New guy from Colorado

    yep, I'm a new guy...site looks great.

Carried a m2 in Vietnam while assigned to an ARVN unit in IV Corps (the Delta)....fell in love with it. I own six USGI...plus an Iver Johnson...plus an m1-22 from somebody or other....heck, I have an old Crosman m1 BB gun that I've had for probably 30-40 years. Like you all, I think the carbine will do just about anything you need it to do....all in a nice small package...and it doesn't beat you up while you are doing it.

I collect magazines...still need a bunch to "complete" my collection. Try to limit myself to 15-rounders but got in the 30-round trap so I've got a bunch (shhhh, I live in Colorado).

Anyway, I'm happy to be onboard.
