A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Hello all, I’d like to introduce myself.
I live in Enfield UKicon, work just down the road from the old RSA Enfield factory.
My former next door neighbor worked at the RSA Enfield factory and as a child I would go to their open days.
I am quit new to shooting but enjoy whole shooting atmosphere and the diversity of people that i have met,I am looking forward to reloading for my rifles.
    I have at present 3 SMLE’s and a No4 mk2 in .303 and 1 SMLE in .22

    Hi, Milsurpers...

I'm really excited about joining a group of people who have the same love for milsurp rifles that I have. I've always enjoyed target shooting, but I got away from it for quite a few years. Amateur photography diverted me. Now, I'm back. I haven't lost my love for photography, but I've become more excited by old military rifles and the history behind each. Like photography, there's so much to learn, and I'm loving every minute of it!
Back in the 60s, I owned a WWI Germanicon Luger which I loved to shoot. I sold it to help pay for my college tuition. Wish I had kept it. Now, I own several milsurp rifles, including two Enfields. One is an Australianicon No. 1 Mark III SMLE, and the other is a Canadianicon Long Branch No. 1 Mark IV. The latter has a "Alfd. J. Parker Birm." target sight on it, I think. It also says "Rfg. Design 868970. Model 8/53." It has two little wheels for elevation and windage adjustments. I was about to replace it with a 1300 yd. micrometer rear sight that I purchased, but maybe I'll keep the original on it.
I have a difficult time seeing through the pinhole-sized hole on my Parker peep sight. Do any of you know where I can purchase just the peep hole part of the sight (little thumb wheel with a tiny hole in it, etc.)? I want to get a larger hole so I can see through it better. Look forward to any info you can provide. Thanks.

Hi all. New here and just retired and starting to appreciate (and to start shooting) my US military rifles. I love reading all the posts here, so much good information. When I figure out how, will post some pictures of my rifles.

Hi, New Member. Not really a collector, was a shooter in the past and am now returning. Prefer classics to Modern, in most areas!

Been sitting in the side lines reading, some interesting stuff on here.
