Hello members. I am Richard Brennan, USMC 1952-1956. I own an M-1 Carbine manufactured by Inland sometime during WWII. During rapid fire, using a five round mag, the upper hand guard loosens and the back of it separates from the piece. I replaced the hand guard, but no fix. Does anyone have a fix for me?

I am new member, but an old collector of mostly WWII arms. Was looking for information on the last rendition of the Garandicon, the BM59, and ran across Military Surplus Collectors Forums. Thanks for providing such a platform for sharing information.

Hello, My name is Ernst and I'm new here. I fount this site while looking for some instruction on how to remove and replace the release button on a type 30 Japaneseicon bayonet. I got a pretty good price on the bayo but it doesn't have a release button on it.
Thanks for any info you might have

    Ernst

    Cool Newbee

    Hi, first time on form.
I purchased a AOM M1icon Carbine in April and I am happy to be a new owner. I enjoy the rifle and shoot it often, but I have had problems. I am sorry to read all the bad input about the carbine now that I purchased it. I hope I can resolve the problems so I can enjoy the shooting.
I have returned the carbine once to Auto-Ordance for a problem on bolt lock-up with live cartage in chamber. They replaced the bolt and polished up some areas.
This did not solve my problem, it still locks up in battery with live round.
They claim it is the ammo I am using. I have tried two different type and will try a third soon.
I think the tolerances in the barrel are to tight. After 30 shots and the barrel is hot it locks up, and takes a lot of tries and force to eject the unfired cartage.
If any one has had the same problem I would like to know.
    thanks for reading my problem.
