I've never seen one of those. It's a fiber thing? Or solid or what?

Red jacket.
I field stripped it and it is very solid except for the semi hollow butt. Cleaning equipment is usual place. Small imp.ort mark. Boit has the first numbers removed leaving 12503.
363 in factory traingle. Don't know the factory. Owner had it for 35 years.
Did some reasearch on red stocks and they were around since 1968 to prevent wood rot. I do not believe that many were put into service as red would be easy to see in jungle.
I stand waiting to be corrected on anything. Thanks!

I think the jury is still out on the validity of these fiberglass stocks. There's the whole Vietnam story but no vets ever saw them. Since they magically showed up in the 90's some say aftermarket product hyping for the U.S market. I don't know but I lean aftermarket.

Like I say, I've never seen one. Everything I've seen was Russian laminate or that soft Chu wood or whatever it was.
