What carbine parts did you buy that did not work or fit?

Scott, I was ok with the complete Winchester bolt assembly that had other than Winchester internals... I can live with that... but I also got some spare parts (extractor sping and plunger, etc) ... they were Ivers Johnson's manufacturer. The parts listings used the words "US Military" under the picture of the part - not stating whether the part was USGI or commercial.... my complaint is the metal quality and wear factors. I prefer USGI (even post war USGI) due to metal hardness and wearability. The IJ may have been from any time period of their production including their Universal years. Plus the IJ plunger has a slightly longer measurement from the flat to its base. I didn't have an unsolvable problem until I was told that the terms and conditions listed disclaimers about part sources, etc... But, hey, I don't like buying used cars from car dealers either... what do I know?

I got burned by them selling "USGI 1911 magazines in wrap with FSN" that were actually blued Korean knock offs. Fortunately they work OK and were cheap, but I still complained about the way the listed them.

Phil, nope, opposite end of the country and both of the customer reps I talked to were female. One even had a cute NY accent (thats saying alot cause I'm a southern boy).
RBruce, the name reference is aimed at a person of questionable collector/business practices who lives in California. I personally have never dealt with him - I seem to be too busy dealing with formal companies with legitimate business licenses who don't like to advertise or mark their products correctly.
Side note - sometimes the best wine comes from sour grapes.... I'm moving on - just putting my money somewhere else.

Numrich is noted for after-market parts. I've not ordered any carbine parts, but was disappointed in some others for my pistols.

Not that many years ago they seemed to be one of the go-to companies for replacement parts and such. Anyone know if they came under new management or something?
I've spent some time on the web trying to find out if there have been any changes in management etc. but nothing so far.....
