Bayonet ID Help?

I am not sure what this bayonet is , probably far from what you need. I asked once on a forum and the answer was that it was for the SMLE III Lee Enfield. The bayonet is an orphan , no rifle here. It was captured during the battle in Panama , what 1990? It iis dated 1913 the only mark I see that might be a manuf is PFD. On the metal hilt is the number 804 . The wooden grips are pretty beat uop.

Any idea who can use this one?

You have a 1907 hook quillion bayonet from Great Britain icon

or Austrailia. Fit on the #1 Mk 3 SMLE. The hook was cut in 1913 so they are quite rare. Put it on the Lee Enfield forum if it's not already and they will love the story of where it came from.

The muzzle rings looks a little too high for a Pattern 07 Sword Bayonet; it may be the angle the picture has been taken at but it looks more like an Ariska bayonet to me.

I thought about that too Mick, but the proof marks are there. Are you thinking it's one of those early made for Japan icon

Yes, or possibly a 1913 trials sword bayonet, although that would be as rare as rocking horse poo!
