Springfield 1903 sight???

Hello all,
I am currently working on a project for a friend of mine. His father passed sometime ago and they finally got around to cleaning out the house. Under the bed he found three three 1903's (not 03A3's) a Japanese pistol and rifle. Those are interesting stories within themselves as his father was a Marine in the Pacific who brought them home. At any rate, he's not much of a "firearms" guy so to speak but he plans on keeping them. The 03 he has in his possession right now needs some love. I've cleaned it up for him and found most of the parts he was missing but I'm having trouble tracking down the rear sight slide. I'm looking for the older one with the more raised "v" sight like this one:

What is the make (Sptingfield, Rock Island), serial number range, and barrel date? I may be able to supply the correct slide.
