Would you fire this in your Garand?
Greetings:
Acquired ammo can of 30 cal. Looks like Korean characters on the boxes. Cartridges have OAL 3.330 which is longer than the Federal 30.06 Springfield round and another 30.06 round marked WW (Winchester?).
Wondering if primers are Berdan or Boxer and corrosive.Attachment 45659Attachment 45660Attachment 45661
if someone can verify whether this is OK to shoot in either a Garand and/or a Remington 742 I would appreciate any input.

Made in Korea 1974 and Garand friendly. Good ammo, boxer primed and non corrosive. The bullet length compared to soft point hunting ammo is nothing to be worried about.

Bruce/Jim:
Thank you for responses, puts my mind at ease. Got some ammo, now I need to find a good shooting Garand. Wish CMP North had something else besides Cs and Ds.
Best regards, Ray.

Good lord, how jaded we have all become... a dozen years ago we would have killed for the chance at a documented C or D!
Real men measure once and cut.

He's right...a nice D could still be a shooter. If you have all the bits, you have a GREAT shooter.
