My Enfield No.2 Mk1 & Mr. Peter Laidler

I had written a question about my Enfield No.2 Mk1, in which I mentioned that the screw for the front sight was missing. Mr. Peter Laidlericon answered and stated that he would send a screw that fit. Now, he does live 'across the pond' and that's not exactly an easy swim.

The fact that I had never met nor communicated previously with Mr. Laidler was apparently no obstacle for him. He actually sent the screws that I received this afternoon in AZ. Now that my fellow collectors, is an honorable gentleman.

This post is simply to say "Cheers" to a man of his word and to thank him publicly. I have a new friend in the UKicon.
