Probably the only book out there, but has some really bad mistakes. The author could have used better specimens of the rifles he showed too, rather than to mention what was wrong with some of them. Most of the info in this book has been around for years. Still, it is good to have. I got mine at amazon.com Big Larry

Well Chuck once you read Batha's book you will find out about couple oddball rifles you may not know about now. I know I did for my collection. Hopefully I can help you out with those two guns.

I too need a Stevens 416. Help me too. A lot of the US rifles in Bathas book are post WW2. I have no interest in the US M1890 or the M03, which I did have a few years back. Other than the 416, I have all I want. Big Larry

I have a copy of the "Smallbore Rifle Handbook" published in the mid-1930s. It has military and civilian models listed and shooting tips and positions. An interesting look back at the old days on the firing line. It has pictures of all those single shot rifles I used in Boy Scout and YMCA camp.
