    New barrel options?

My CMPicon 1903 mark I needs a new barrel. Should I spend the money on a original NOS 1903 barrel or go with a new manufactured one?

Well it depends. Are you going to shoot it and if so a new manufactured barrel will work just fine. If you want an original barrel, you will need to look very hard and have lots-o cash ready.

If I were doing this, and planed on shooting the rifle, I would opt for the new barrel, but keep a sharp eye out for a original replacement barrel. Watch the auction sites for complete rifles that are in a sporter condition. These sometimes have good barrels but the receivers are drilled and taped and do not bring a lot of money.
