What is the collectabilty of an Enfield No.4 mk2 made in Pakistan,1962 in very good condition?

Depends on where you live. In Canada there are still several for sale in shops and at gunshows as well as on line for the same price they were 2 years ago.

I would rate the Paki's between rare and scarcely seen. You can price accordingly.

limpetmine, no wounds intended. The Pakistani MkII rifles are some of the best No 4 rifles I've seen for the price. I should buy a few more, before they are all gone. I don't know if there are any more coming in or not. My rifle would rate at VG-Exc and it has an as new bore. The stock is dense Circassian walnut, with very straight grain and no repairs. All numbers match and the fit of all parts is incredible. The bore is on the tight side and measures out to .310. It doesn't shoot as well as my 1950 Long Branch rifle but neither do most other Lee Enfields.

I envy you for the selection of ammunition and other surplus firearms you have access to. We are quite limited in this country by law and out of control enforcement of ambiguous rulings. If it weren't for a few importers in Canada we wouldn't get the meagre pickings we do get. The prices we pay would be considered exorbitant in the US but it's like everything else, shipping is a killer and unless you can afford to fill several containers, the price goes up. We have less than 10% of the population of the US and cover a bit more territory. We don't have nearly as many viable ports or large centres either. That, along with left wing media and government restrict us from enjoying many of the conveniences you fellows south of the border take for granted.

When International Firearms was located in Montreal Quebec, we had pretty much the same stuff available to us. They used Canada as an end user on their permits and had access to a lot of stuff that they didn't with a US address. Then because we were considered a trusted ally, they could import into the US without hassles. All that has changed with our extreme left wing politics. Hell, Obama is a Conservative in comparison to our Liberals.

No offence taken. I was speaking directly to the number of Paki No4's, not your other choices. You did have a big win not to long ago, when they canned that totally misguided registration program, did you no? The next fly in the ointment for everyone is the UN gun running nonsense. I think we've all seen the pictures of pallet loads of bolt action rifles being burned. I do agree that the Paki rifles are great collectables, and while rare, not as rare as an L-42 comes up for sale.
