    M1 Garand questions

Whats the difference between a flat and an arched lower band on an M1icon Garand?

And who made an M1 Garand trigger guard with no markings on it?

Flat is later and arched is middle manufacture. Couldn't say about the trigger group.

Arched vs flat isn't really descriptive enough to identify any lower band. This characteristic describes the top & bottom of the band when viewed in profile; i.e., arched will be rounded (some with vertical channel) & flat will be, well, flat.

SA, IHC, & HRA made trigger guards with no markings (that is, all STAMPED trigger guards). WRA stamped trigger guards will usually have a punch mark.

WRA never made a stamped trigger guard. All WRA trigger guards are the milled type and all have the drawing number.

Forgot to mention, it is a milled guard, no markings except what looks like an 'R' inside the actual guard bow.

    Thanks

Do you know what year it would have been used?
