From the pictures I have seen, early Inland were diaginal and later issue were straight. But that begs the question: What was early and what was late?

Mr. Riesch says late 1943 circa s/n 900,000. Hope he was right. I have one coming in from an auction this week for my Inland.

The first Straight or square pattern was arourd 10 K and continued until the EOP.(8-42 to 8-45)
The diagonal was used from SOP to somewhere in the 3,000,000 range most common below 1,000,000 (6-42 to 11-43)
