    I think the first thing is to determine if the scope in question is indeed an Italianicon scope or one of the current crop of repro's. I saw some rather skillfully aged and distressed examples of the repro scopes at Beltring in the UKicon this summer, and I must give the whoever is doing the work credit....they are good!!! Even to the verdigris from the leather caps, on the tube.
    With some better photo's, other than are shown on the ARMI site, I/we can probably tell you if it is a good one or one of the repro's. Which by the way are not bad once they are "tarted up" a bit. I'll post some pictures of one of the repro scopes stripped down as I have one on the bench right now...
