No, but I WANT ONE!!!!! Looked at the Legacy sports web page. Looks pretty good. Chiappa makes very good Cowboy action replicas for CAS, so expect these will be pretty good.

I checked on the Calguns Forum and found this thread - pretty negative, but I would still give it some thought. Rimfire Central is a good .22 Forum. - Bob

We called them 3-4 weeks ago and a woman told us they would be out by Christmas?? Of course we figured they meant 2011.
But doing an online search turned up nothing.
They said the same thing in May..that they would be out by July.
I have given up on it and bought an ERMA EM1 .22LR.
    Probably a much better gun.

They do need to be kept clean to operate well. The firing/trigger group gets fouled pretty quickly depending on ammo used, and they're a heck of a lot harder to clean than a USGI carbine. The only real similarity is their outward appearance. I haven't had any problems with either of mine when they're clean and using high quality hollow points. .22 ammo is so cheap there's no reason to scrimp on ammo.

You can find some history on the Erma .22 and a downloadable manual here -

I believe we used Federal .22 LR most often and it seemed to work, Tator. I bought the .22's for my son to use when he was small and we haven't shot them in years. (He quickly grew and gradualted to real carbines, so the ammo bill went WAY up!) Regardless, they seem to need cleaning quite a bit in order to function well and Federal seemed to be pretty clean.

Whatever you do don't lose the magazine. They're hard to come by and usually expensive. I bought the second Irma just because I came across it in a small country gun shop. It had an authentic 'C-tip' sling on it and they had the rifle priced at $200.
