Question about Long Branch sniper rifles

Good morning:
This is a nitpicky numbers type question:
Does anyone know what percentage/number of the LB 90L snipers made in 1944/45 were sent to England, vs those kept in Canada? I've seen a few over the years, some stamped England, and some not. I know Canada had to ship a bunch to England to meet contract obligations--were all the '45's shipped, or half? Anyone know? Is an "England" stamped one more common than not, vice versa, or does it matter at all?

Muffet, I am not addicted to painkillers - hate them actually - but I understand the need for short-term analgesia, and I happen to have had to undergo several surgeries in the past 6 months. I did undergo a significiant hip surgery yesterday, but am not taking opioids until the nerve block wears off and I have no choice. Vicodin does make me a bit loopy, and I have an English sense of humour anyway. You have been warned

The strange reply is not strange if you know that my real addiction is to Long Branches - which are cheaper (still) than drugs lol.

Regarding your Long Branch serial number question, you might consider asking over at the canadiangunnutz milsurps forum - you never know what you might find out.

Afraid I don't know either, but there were about 5 in the batch we bought in 1997. All were 90L's & all had come out of UK service. Some had been suncorited over the original blue & some were as is. I kept two 'as is'! I can probably find the serials if anyone is interested.......
