I didn't think about that! Do you think these actions can handle 30-40 Krag? I have heard of some RB's being chambered in them. Also do you know of any good gunsmiths to do this work or a decent barrel manufacturer?

I would think that the 30-40 Krag in a 1879 black power action is not the best choice, you know you can get the original barrel lined to another caliber too which
would reduce cost.
