    CMP Winchester Finally Arrived!

My new Winchester arrived from the CMPicon last week. Thought I might share a little bit about it if anyone is interested. Receiver is ser. # 1,200,052, June 1942 I believe. About 52 into the new serial # block. Kinda cool! It came with a brand new, beautiful CMP stock. Looks like birch to me. Has great tiger striping. Barrel is an SA 1 53. Small parts are mostly SA. Bolt is HRA. Looks like it hasn't been fired much, if at all since rebuild, in whatever country that might have been. Virtually no wear to the new, black finish. TE=2.5 MW=2.

As nice as the rifle is, I won't be keeping it. It's just not what was hoping for and I do have an earlier USGI Winchester. I'll probably put it up on the shopper next week.

    Thanks, Greg V
