Fake, or not? Russian Cossack sword...

Up for sale locally is this intriguing sword, with Moisin bayonet. Described as a Russianicon Cossack sword, but some quick research reveals that this is an 1881 model Russian Dragoon sword.

I am attracted to it but am concerned that it may be a fake - see pictures below.

    What do you guys think?

“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”

    Edward Bernays, 1928

Much changes, much remains the same.

I've been tempted by these swords for years but have been thoroughly warned against them. They look real good to me but I don't know the details on them so I steer clear. Considering most seem to come out of China, that's a dead giveaway right there.

I would be suspicious of this example because there doesn't appear to be a date on the blade and I thought that the Russians normally dated blades such as these.

For Russianicon items if there is a number followed by "r" it often indicates that the number is a date. For example 1917r indicating the year 1917.

They copy anything, and when they do, whoever is the main stamper can't even stick to the script example COCKA COLA
Some of the instructions you get have to be a wind up...........they make no sense whatsoever.
