WTK: Any Idea if this is a US Military M1/M2 Stock

I picked up a few Military Stocks and Parts Kits at an auction this week.

Can anyone ID the marlings on this stock? There are no markings in the sling cut out area on the right side of the butt stock. In the middle of the right side of the stock there are two 0s or they could be Os. To the left of them there are two faint marks and one looks like it could of been cross cannons. I am not sure.

Also there is a strange bolt in the stock behind the trigger group. I beleive there was an M2 mounted in this stock. There is a lot of wear on the inside of the stock where the selector would of been on and M2.

Your Input will Greatly Be Appreciated.

That stock is pretty beat, that crack is pretty bad, and it has been refinished more than once. The nut you are speaking of is the standard escutcheon for the recoil lug, it's just not fully seated. In my opinion it's not worth screwing with.

I had no plans to use it. It was included in an auction lot with an NOS Walnut Garandicon Stock and a Browning 1981 BAR Kit.
